Start with the work, then choose the system

Choose one task that happens frequently. Write its starting information, the person responsible and the expected result. Test that path in a fictional demo, then check permissions, corrections, exports and failure cases. A polished dashboard is useful when its figures can be traced to the actual records. Agree which advanced capabilities are included before using a system for critical operations.
